Caregiving burden post-COVID
[COVID]
As our population ages, the care needs of our frail are only set to increase over time. Where we see caregiving in practice is also changing, shifting from beyond the institutions to home. Understanding this transition and the current challenges, progress and helpful changes we’ve already set in motion will give us a better idea of what to look towards in future. Questions such as what areas need to be researched further to improve care quality, how do we identify key support mechanisms that are still needed will be tackled by our panelists.

Changes to Health-Seeking Behaviours Post-COVID
[COVID]
Do you find yourself hesitating less to head down to the GP after waking up one morning with a bad sore throat? Or were you one of many who tried their best to avoid clinics and healthcare settings at the height of the pandemic? Regardless of which camp you fall under, COVID has definitely changed how we view health and seek healthcare. This plenary hopes to delve deeper into what those changes are and which are likely to stick around long past the pandemic.

Evolution of the Healthcare Student
[Non-COVID]
Flipped classroom, Team-Based Learning, Problem-Based Learning… how we learn has come a long way from traditional lecture style sessions. The average healthcare-student is also likely to take on more outside of the classroom setting such as in research, community service or other interests. What we can safely say is that healthcare education isn’t quite what it was 20 years or even just a decade ago. But how has this changed students? How have the changing expectations impacted us? You’ll get to hear about all this and more from our panelists during this session.

Sign ups
Do you need to attend both if your sign up for only 1 of the components (i.e. TMSumposium)?
There are some overlaps in some of the programmes such as opening and closing addresses. However, when signing up, you will only need to attend one of the two events as they take place simultaneously.
Research Project Presentation
Do I have to ensure that I have not presented this elsewhere? How will it affect my chances of presenting this in other conferences?
Initially, our form stated the need for the project to not have been presented elsewhere so as to ensure our beginners have a go at it. However, this requirement is no longer present and you may present your work even if it has been presented elsewhere.

It should not affect your chances of presenting at other conferences but you may want to check their conference requirements to be sure.
